Civic Kitchen Drink - WESTBOROUGH

I had a fantastic lunch at Civic. The food and ambiance were excellent. I enjoyed the variety of drinks available and the friendly staff.

I started with the calamari, which wasn't the best I've had at this restaurant. It was a bit soggy. The seafood special included shrimp and scallops that were tasteless, but the salmon chunks and sauce were excellent. I've had fabulous specials here before, like a pistachio crusted Cod special. The ambiance was okay, but the decor/color scheme isn't very inviting. It was a bit cold by the window, especially early in the year. I had to keep my jacket on during dinner. The beer selection was good and the service was excellent.

The Civic Kitchen was on my radar for a bit as I am always looking to try find new places in the area. The restaurant had good reviews, but confess a part of me wondered how good would any restaurant be that was tied to a golf course. Turns out the restaurant clearly stands on its own. Enjoyed a terrific dinner with three work colleagues. Farm to table concept. Appreciated that all of the items showed some creativity. Three different entrees between the four of us. Everyone very pleased with their selections. Surprised at the number of people there on a rainy Tuesday evening in March. Service was excellent. Sincerely attentive without being too much. Good pacing. Spacious deck with seating in season. The obvious “go to” spot when available. Regular nights of live music, we were told. Happy to finally visit. Definitely now on my list as a place to introduce to my wife and friends in the near future.

Very pleasant, good fresh food, my friend would like more gluten free dessert options!
