Unassuming gem slinging some of the best food Asian or Otherwise) in Westborough.I 've known about Pho and Thai for a while now it was opened within the last few years while I was still living on the east coast but my family and I never went. I 'm currently back home for a visit and yesterday was a cold and rainy day in Massachusetts AKA a perfect day for some Noodle Soup. I suggested getting Pho to my parents but our normal place happened to be closed. That 's when I remembered Pho and Thai.We got there around 7 PM on a Friday night. There weren 't too many people there yet but as our meal went on, more and more groups came.We were promptly seated and our order was taken within 10 minutes or so there was only one waitress there and she was doing a fantastic job handling and juggling every group that was thereFor our meal my family got* Roti* Hot and Spicy Wings* Basil Fried Rice* Pho Tai Nam* Kao Soi with Chicken* Slow Cooked Beef Noodle SoupNow mind you, after living in the Bay Area for almost a year, I didn 't have the highest of expectations for this restaurant. Especially since it 's located in a random Shopping Plaza on Route 9. But boy was I wrong. This restaurant blew all my expectations out of the water. The first thing to come out was the Basil Fried rice. At first I was disappointed that our appetizers didn 't come out first... and then I had a bite. .... GOD DAMN this was the best Basil Fried Rice i 've had in a loooooonnngg time. It was cooked perfectly and the spice level was actually spicy. And that 's saying something, especially coming from me. The next item to come out was the Roti , which was extra flakey and rich and paired very nicely with the curry dip on the side.Afterwards our noodles soups came out. I got the slow cooked beef noodle soup on the recommendation of our waitress and I was not disappointed. The broth was extra rich and had deep umami flavor and the meat was extra tender. My parents got the Kao Soi and they were absolutely thrilled they aren 't the biggest fan of Pho so this was a perfect choice for them. Hearty, extra flavorful, and not too spicy for them. And lastly, the Pho Tai Nam rare beef and brisket pho) was for my brother. I didn 't get to have much but I 'll let his words do the talking : This is better than most of the Pho I 've had in Boston .Lastly, the wings showed up... while it was strange for them to be the last item on the table, they were absolutely delicious and my family still ate them regardless.Incredible food aside, the service here was top notch. I 'd like to shout out our waitress again she really did a fantastic job with everyone including us. She was very accommodating and brought us extra plates and bowls so we could share items easily. She was also very friendly.Price wise, we definitely got our moneys worth of food. For all the items I mentioned it was about 90 Dollars 22.5 dollars per person) which, for the portion sizes we got, I found to be a great value. To wrap this up, Pho and Thai is a standout for me in the Westborough food scene. Don 't let the location fool you this place is a must visit for sure. I think I 've found my new regular Pho spot in Central MA.Food: 5Service: 5Bang for Buck: 5Final Rating : 5/5
Good pad Thai and slow-cooked beef soup (although it was a little sweet), quiet and prompt.
Apparently asking a few questions about the food while placing an order is bad. The lady who was already impatient hung up on me. Poor service for already mediocre food.
