I love this place! The food is great and the decor is awesome!
I can't give a higher rating because, once someone pointed out the yellow fat dripping from the outside fan, I've been unable to go back! Food/service were very good.
As a Mexican American, coming from El Paso, TX, this has been the most authentic place I've been to in Connecticut. Have been looking for places like home and none of them compare to Amigos. I've had the Elote and the Tampiqueña and they do not disappoint, especially if you add Valentina.
We ordered the pace of Burrito and Tofu Burrito. But did not order cheese or sour cream and sub black beans for fried beans (in the fryer, waiter gave us a side of the Guac as a sub). Prices are fair and serving size was excellent 2 meals worth. Ingredients were fresh. Only the problem is the taste. Tofu and Tempeh were not seasoned. That made a very shameful, huge burrito. Our waiter was very accommodating and knew exactly how to subordinate when we told him we were vegan. The service was excellent. Margarita was very fair. If someone could show them how to season and cook tofu, this place would be killer. Great option if you are super hungry and desperate. Updated by previous review on 2021-02-15
