Don't drive by this gem! Right off the interstate and sharing a building with Arbys, this place is the real deal! The beers were cold and delicious. But it's their homemade pizza that is superb. Homemade crust that is crispy and chewy. We ordered the spicy marinara sauce and we are happy we did. We live near a larger city with plenty of pizza options but this place puts them all to shame.
Came here for the first time with my dad. The waitress was awesome, the food and beer was incredible! The owner checked up on us, awesome guy. We're both veterans and so was he! Great convo, so great to see a restaurant work so hard!
We have been here a few times this summer and enjoyed the patio. The food is typical frozen food. Place is Smokey inside like they need to clean the hood filters or not adequate size? Today our server was very nice as they were the previous times. Today however we once again we 're approached by Tonya. She said she is the manager. Last time she came to our table as she was getting into her little blue car. She turned on the umbrella light for us, hovering over us and started making conversation while we were eating our meal. I took it then as she was trying to be social and friendly, but it was very awkward and uncomfortable. Today however, I skipped on the beers and asked for an Arnold Palmer. The drink had a lemon wedge in on the bottom and I kept sucking up seeds with the paper straw so when I asked for a refill, I asked for it without the lemon. This time the drink was brought out by Tonya. She said in a raised voice and confused way here is your ice tea with less lemon and locked eyes on me continuously as if she was offended of what I asked for and decided she would bring it out rather then our server. Apparently to figure out if I was just being difficult? After an extended period of her locking eyes on me, I asked why she is doing that? I then took it as she wanted to know why if ask for less lemon? I didn 't ask for less lemon, I asked for no lemon. Looking back now I understand that the server probably didn 't even know their was lemon in the drink since Tanya made it so she was confused when I said no lemon. I should have said no lemon fruit wedge but I didn 't know she didn 't pour the first beverage. I tried to explain this after the long stare-down that I wasn 't trying to be difficult, I just was having trouble with the seeds getting stuck in the straw. As we were leaving she seemed upset by the experience as I was so I tried to explain the situation better. I also explained that I prefer no garnish because often people use unwashed fingers to put the fruit into the glass. She got very upset with me and started yelling at me that she follows all the health codes. I explained that not everyone does so I prefer no garnish. She then went on to explain to me that I need to request this ahead of time. Bottom line is Tonya rubs people the wrong way, and shouldn 't argue with the customer as I think that was why she brought the drink out to us In the first place. I understand that the lack of business can be upsetting, but don 't take it out on your only few customers. Maybe that explains why the last 3 weekend evenings we were there the business was dead? Today we were there on a Saturday evening and there was only one lady there with a beer and a laptop with a pile full of papers on the table using wifi. I think her strong personality is keeping people from returning. If it wasn 't for her being there we 'd definitely go back!
Stopped for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the pizza was! Definitely a must try. It was our waitress's first day and she did a stellar job. Had to wait initially to get service, but that was primarily due to lack of staff. The beer was also really good. Will stop again when in the area!
