They also have a great selection of specialty rolls, and we decided to try a few. The standout was definitely the Centipede Roll, which featured double shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber, egg, and crab meat topped with a special cooked tobiko sauce. It was fantastic! Another impressive roll was the MA Roll, which included double shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, and cucumber wrapped in soybean paper, also topped with crab meat and a special cooked sauce. My only minor complaint—though it's quite trivial—is that the rolls were a bit easy to separate. They might have held together better if eaten in-house, but as I mentioned, this was a minor issue. Overall, I highly recommend giving Feng Ye a try!
Tasty. Happy to give the new owners of this establishment a thumbs up on the new menu. Taste to price value ratio is amazing. Lunch specials for around 7 bucks for a good portion of food. I look forward to trying more of their menu as time goes on. The restaurant has a funky side entrance that could get a bit better signage from the front, but they deserve kudos for their fast and modern POS system for payment once you get there.
The prices are reasonable, but the food was excessively greasy and unfortunately made us feel sick afterward. We ordered a pupu platter for two, along with sides of pork fried rice and lo mein. Everything was greasy except for the crab rangoons and chicken fingers. I have to say, the crab rangoons were outstanding—extremely delicious and definitely worth trying. However, the rest of the dishes did not meet the same standard.
The Chinese food at this restaurant is mostly excellent. However, the sushi and Japanese dishes could use some improvement. The maki rolls are cut much too thick—my child, who absolutely loves a good California roll, struggles to fit even one piece into her mouth, as they serve only six pieces instead of the usual eight to ten. So, it looks like I'll have to keep buying sushi from Big Y, which feels a bit ridiculous. It’s frustrating to waste food simply because we can’t take a proper bite. I keep coming back to this place because they used to serve really great food. Moreover, they often don't include ginger or wasabi with their sushi—instead, I received an astonishing 27 packets of soy sauce. Talk about waste!
