I'm visiting Texas and my cousin lives behind the Plaza where Gala Bakery is. My family always said her coffee was good, so I know I have to try the coffee. Mannen... Your coffee is on... like it's one of the best I've ever tried. I would probably return to Gala if I were on holiday to Westminster.
The bánh su (chou in french) is uniquely better than elsewhere. The cast cream inside is lighter than other places that are sweet. At $0.90 a piece is not cheap compared to other bakery, but the quality corresponds to the price and it is worth it. Ordering the 5 pieces in the plastic box is better than in the large paper box. I don't remember if you get discount or not for buying masses, but if possible, just buy a bundle of 5 pieces in plastic box. The plastic boxes hold it from drying out more than the paper box. I wish they would open later than 5:00. Sometimes I get out of work after 5:00 and bless the Bánh su, but they close.
Best Viet Coffee, does not taste burning or too strong of bitterness, This taste like the real deal from Vietnam, I recommend, but if you find another place better then please share:
Probably the best CSD coffee in the western hemisphere. Sadly, they are closed for the duration during the pandemic.
