We sat down and was ignored for 10 minutes by any and every member of your staff, a hostess came over when she saw my unbelief and said someone would be with us shortly, again NO ONE came, although wait staff was walking by frequently, and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant as it was 5:45pm.We decided to leave and walked out saying thank you to the hostess who NEVER responded or apologized!!!!!!!! I am a very busy and well known person in Weston and I will share my story with everyone I meet, your restaurant was hot and dirty and your wait staff and hostesses were very sloppy looking... HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.
They have combined Stir Moon Moon Thai into 1 location. They say the food is the same but it is not! We miss Stir Moon Moon Thai doesn't meet the same high standards in food quality even though they say they are the same. They are not!
I was taken by the decor when we first walked in. The restaurant is accented by a by a large square table in the middle of the room with a chessboard why not the game of Go, I wonder) and a wooden tree-like sculpture. The servers stand out with orange outfits with Asian characters on them. It all gives the sense of a hip, young place. The day we went was cool for October, and every table outside was taken by professionals out for lunch. We were seated at a long rectangular booth with light wood tones. Just like Stir Moon, their competitor up the street, the chop sticks, condiments and extra napkins are located at the end of the table. I had the chicken with asparagus $9.95) off the Thai menu. I was intrigued because I had never seen asparagus used in a Thai dish, although I admit that I am not yet a Thai food expert working on that, though). The dish was more like a vegetable medley, with not just asparagus, but a tomato wedge and potatoes. I liked the taste and the portion was generous. My wife ordered the chicken stir fry also $9.95), but what came out looked like spare ribs. We thought that maybe they accidentally gave us chicken Teriyaki. Her chicken was overcooked, but the sauce was tasty. Based on the food quality, we probably won't be back, but I wouldn't tell people to stay away, by any means. Lots of other reviewers like this restaurant and I can see why.
Consistently good food and good service. It has a nice atmosphere. You can dine inside or outside. Great drink menu. The food is always good. You have lots of choices both Japanese and Thai food. Both are very good. We visit here once a month.
We went twice during our week long visit with our 14 year old son and we all loved the food atmosphere. If your the type who stays away from chain restaurants (which we have sworn off as of a few years ago) and prefer finding places like local Thai, Cuban, Indian, etc, then we highly recommend Moon Thai!
