Shanghai Gourmet - Westport Village

Shanghai Gourmet is our go-to Chinese takeout spot, located conveniently nearby. When we're not in the mood to cook, we simply place an order online and drive a short distance to pick it up. We have our favorite dishes - my wife loves the Sambal Delight, while I prefer the Sweet and Sour Chicken. We always like to share a plate of Barbeque Spare Ribs. However, our recent experience left us disappointed. The Sambal Delight had a different taste with green peppers instead of carrots and an overwhelming amount of hot spices. Even as a fan of spicy food, I found it too much. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was also lacking, with dry and overcooked chicken and not enough sauce. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and we were left wondering what went wrong.
