Rive Bistro - Westport

The large seafood chowder and French vegetable soup were fantastic. The salad of the day was excellent. It was a bit noisy for lunch, but I'll definitely return!

The food is always excellent here. This is one of our favorite restaurants for special family gatherings. The summer atmosphere by the water is wonderful, but dining indoors during the winter is just as enjoyable.

The personal was extremely attentive and interested in customer needs and desire. completely invisible, if desired private sphere, but right there, if desired. eat excellent. costly. jam

Once again a perfect example for large food that is overshadowed by terrible service. the saving gnade was the tedious attempt by the host to cover an obviously unorganized reservation system and sheltered kitched. we waited 20 minutes before the reservation time; a group of four overlaid their greeting and the inability of the staff to push them. eating was very authentic French both in taste and in time. almost an hour between appetizer and escape. by the way, eating has saved the experience. solid, tasty eating and a well-performed cream brulee. no complaining, with the exception of an oyster shell, which is missing from an oyster, which, after the excavation of the spinach filling, only finds a buried shade. summed up, prepared for a 3 hours evening meal, but delicious eating.

Great experience as always. The only downside was they were clearly overstretched on staffing (still suffering post pandemic, I guess) but this is still a great place for a lovely lunch or dinner.
