Rossi's Ices - Weymouth and Portland

It has been a while since I last visited this restaurant, but my fond memories of it show just how much I love this place! I am eagerly counting down the days until it reopens in the new year.

I live close to Weymouth and visit several times a year, always stopping by Rossi's for their ice. However, my last visit may be my final one. The ice was good as usual, but the male worker was rude and aggressive. After placing my order, he yelled at me in a harsh manner for standing in the wrong spot, even though I was where the signs indicated. A simple direction to move would have sufficed. I was the only customer there at the time. Upon looking at previous reviews, it seems this behavior is not an isolated incident, and it appears the man is actually the owner. If it was just a bad day for him, I wouldn't be writing this review. However, it seems to be a recurring issue. Next time I visit Weymouth, I will seek out alternative places for my family and I to buy ice from, hopefully with better customer service.

I don't use the title of my review easy. the ice is made fresh daily right in front of them, it tastes phenomenal and, because it is served at the right temperature, always has the right consistency. the personal is...always very friendly. this place is really legendary.

My wife always claimed that this was the best ice cream in Weymouth. After visiting today, I can confidently say that she was definitely wrong. It is actually the best ice cream in all of Britain (I challenge someone to prove me otherwise!). The natural flavors were spot on. The vanilla was beautifully silky and smooth, and the hazelnut was incredible - it even had frozen pieces of hazelnut in it! The staff was very friendly, the service was excellent, and the prices were really affordable. If you ever find yourself on the seafront in Weymouth, you absolutely must try this place. You will not be disappointed! A big thank you to all the Rossi's this morning for a wonderful experience.
