I had been at the Venetian many times before the change in ownership. As a matter of fact it was the last restaurant I took my Mom to before she became incapable of walking/getting out. I have wonderful memories of our last pizza together. While it is not the same Venetion that I took Mom to, my sister and I had a wonderful meal/visit. I has the short ribs with mashed potatoes and spinach. The ribs were melt in you mouth delicious and I loved the mashed. My sister thoroughly enjoyed her chicken, broccoli ziti. We sat at the bar and I have to say that the bartenders, Natalie and Octavia were fabulous! They made us feel welcomed immediately. Highly recommend!
New owners kept none of what the vibe of the Venetian was about. I get the update of the physical space. Ok. Fine. But the menu is all upscale and this was an institution of Weymouth for years. Nary a nod to anything that made the name. This place had a limited selection that wasn't worth the price. I'm sure all these glowing reviews aren't from the legions of fans the real Venetian had. No mushroom sauce, no antipasto, vinegar pepps?? Fahhh geddda bout it. Really.
We’ve ordered food through Uber Eats twice now from the Venetian Restaurant and both times the food has been absolutely amazing!! It is expensive, but in my opinion worth every penny!! This is the most authentic and delicious Italian food on the South Shore. Highly recommend the Braised Short Ribs, Chicken Ziti Broccoli, and their Meatballs are superb!!! 5 Stars!!
I use to go into the Venetian a couple times a month but the prices are just expensive for me now. I understand it cost money to treat your girlfriend and yourself to get out every now and then. Especially after this covid. But I've found several places either right here in Weymouth or a town over going in any direction. I can go into anyone of these places. Have a beer or cocktail before dinner. Then enjoy a nice dinner with a full belly. Enjoy talking to staff pay the bill. Tip the waiter or waitress. And head home. All for probably half of what I would of spent at the Venetian. I understand there in the buissness to make money. But there's gotta be a limit to what your asking for. For the chic Parm. Or the single pork chop. You can only squeeze the chicken so much. You can add names that I can't even pronounce but it's still a chicken. Sorry. Just my opinion
