We stopped for lunch and enjoyed some great soup and some substantial sandwiches all for a very reasonable price. A...small but great looking selection of cakes/tray bake type stuff. Interesting music set at just the right level to add atmosphere but not intrude into conversation. Would recommend.
We go here more or less every week. Coffee is always spot on if you believe coffee should be piping hot, go to Starbucks) and food is always good, albeit it's not an exhaustive menu. Don't understand why anyone would think it's too noisy,...never had any issues.
Having used this place a few times but not for a while,I met my friend there for coffee today. We could not hear ourselves speak for the totally unrelenting sound of the coffee machine which clanked on and on. In addition the floor does not...lend itself to the chairs being scraped along not only by customers, but by the staff as well! We left as we couldn't stand the noise and interestingly, was telling another friend and she said exactly the same! Shame because the coffee and scones are good! PS This cafe is not in Canada!
I frequently visit this restaurant for coffee. Their settings are also amazing and they have delicious jam! The service is always friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is good, although it can get very busy.
We visited blackwood coffee last week and amomgst the food ordered was a croissant with cheese and speck for (I think) £3.45 that was pleasant, but too expensive for what it is. the caffe could make with a few pictures on the walls. wood cladding. is good, but the interieur seemed a little bleak without much in the art of decoration or 'interior detail'. total, pleasant eating, inspected interieur and a little over price.
