Metropolitan City Grill - Wheeling

Can't say enough... good stuff! Amazing food, quality drinks, great desserts and the perfect waitress. We visited Wheeling all week and try different restaurants. This is, hands down, the best food we had... And we were just for drinks and a snack. All we ordered was so good... we ordered more! Thank you.

Not sure why the mixed reviews in this place. This is a very nice facility given the lack of possibilities in the wheeling area. Restaurant is clean, server was very friendly. I had a steak sandwich with a house salad. Steak was perfectly boiled and the salad was a mixture of fresh green. My girlfriend had a salmon salad and she enjoyed it too. No complaints. Food and presentation were excellent even if my order Standard American Fare. Prices are appropriate for the quality of food. If you expect a burger and pommes or similar for $10, you will be disappointed. One thing that could really help would be the redesign of the toilets.

Incredibly good food! My friend and I are in town for business and this place has been suggested. We sat outside in a nice night, service was good, but the food! Man the food! All we had was fantastic, higher dishes at great prices. Will be back.

I went to the Metropolitan a few times a year since they opened (I don't eat much in general. I can honestly say that I was always treated at delicious meals. I think I am picky when I look at the selection of the restaurant, only here and three other places in the local environment will eat on the basis of food quality and taste. When I go, I usually order Calamari and the Pear salad. The Calamari is made consistent with a crossy texture that I love. I also had more than once her supposed tuna and pork. Other people I went with were also satisfied with their meals. Every time I'm gone, I had a good service, a lunch or dinner time. White linine tablecloths and uniform servers offer a beautiful atmosphere. Personally, I would be here for lunch in jeans and a nice lace with apartments or heels and perhaps the same clothes for dinner, but generally for dinner, I dress up a little more behind jeans. It's the only restaurant in Wheeling that I think is upscale. There are many other casual restaurants that choose in the local area for more casual dress. Try it:

My wife and I ate here. It was awesome. Great salad. Had steak with onions. It was so good. It was like two years ago but still possibly the best steak I 've ate since. The only weird thing was it was a fancy restaurant and the waitresses were extremely..... crack head looking Clean but missing a lot of teeth, drug addict skinny, and really thin hair. Could of just been the area.
