The menu is a bit strange in that some mains do not include meat and must be added for an additional fee so I chose a normal one chicken n'duja fettuccine which was very good and not too spicy. It took a bit longer than expected to receive the drinks but apart from that the service was excellent. Caramba is one of the costlier restaurants so I don't think I'd return without a similar deal in place.
We had made a reservation before leaving the UK, as it was high season during our visit. Upon arrival at the restaurant, it was very busy but we were seated promptly. We noticed that some people without reservations were turned away. The food was delicious, served hot and well presented. We started with some very garlicky calamari and for mains we had tagliatelle with pesto, goat's cheese and garlic prawns, and mac and cheese with chorizo. We also enjoyed a couple of drinks. Despite the busy restaurant, the service was great. The total bill, including tips, came to $171, £103.
Excellent spot for great tasting and good quality food and drinks. Came at happy hour so the value was unexpected. I would happily have paid regular price for my food and drinks. It is part of Quattro's network of restaurants which is my favorite authentic Italian in Whistler. Kim was great as our server. We didn't have a lot of time and they had us out of there with time to spare. I will be back for sure!
My husband and I visited this restaurant for our anniversary. We had dined there the previous year and had a great experience, so we decided to return. Unfortunately, this time was not as enjoyable as I remembered. Despite our hotel making a reservation and requesting a quiet table, we were seated in a cramped area between the bar and another table, making it difficult to hear each other. Additionally, the food was disappointing. As someone with celiac disease, I was pleased to see gluten-free options, but unfortunately, the gluten-free pizza we ordered was burnt and inedible. The truffle honey that accompanied the pizza was overly sweet and lacked truffle flavors. The service, however, was decent and we did not have any complaints in that regard. While I want to give the benefit of the doubt that it was a busy night, I still expected more given the price. I would give this restaurant 3.5 stars and still recommend others to give it a try.
Care and thought went into the creation of all our dishes. The scotch egg as an appy was simply amazing. Their wood burning oven combined with exceptional ingredients made for a culinary experience of which you will not soon forget!
