Powerhouse Eatery - White Haven

Atmosphere is amazing. We have couple of dogs so they arranged us to sit outside. Food was great. Service was awesome. Price is ok for a restaurant like this. Recommended for family dining or for any occasion.

We ordered bread, which never arrived. After politely reminding our server twice, he assured us he had placed the order and would take care of it. Unfortunately, that turned out to be untrue. When our meals arrived, we were let down; one friend ordered a dish that was supposed to include clams but received none. The server claimed they had run out of clams, so they added extra shrimp instead. However, after comparing it to the menu photos online, we suspect he wasn’t truthful with us. Later on, when my friend inquired again about the bread, the server mentioned that every time he asked the kitchen staff, they yelled at him. His exact words were, “I don’t know what to tell you at this point.” A server's role is to address and resolve guests' issues, and he didn't seem to make any effort to do so. Honestly, the way he represented the otherwise professional staff was poor. To quote The Princess Bride, this was “inconceivable” and almost funny. If what he said about the kitchen staff is true, it reflects poorly on management for allowing such an environment.

Very disappointing. We came due to the high ratings. This is the first restaurant review I have ever posted. Unfortunately , my experience was so poor that I had to warn others. We arrived, and requested bread for the table. 35 minutes later, our entrees came out, still no bread. I ordered the pasta with shrimp and clams, for 28$. I quickly noticed there were no clams , and brought it to the attention of the server. He apologized and said the kitchen ran out, and that they had given me “extra” shrimp, he had just forgotten to tell me. There was one extra shrimp if ANY , according to the photos posted online.He stated he would give me a discount on the dish, which ended up being a crisp 5$ bill. It’s been a whole hour and the bread still has not come out . When we asked for the fourth time he told us he didn’t know what to say, and that he keeps getting yelled at by the kitchen staff. As we look around and see tables that had JUST sat down receive bread. Terrible experience. We left hungry, agitated, and with a 150 dollar bill. (We ordered no drinks) . Will not be back

Highly disappointed in the experience. Firstly, bread never came out! We asked for the bread multiple times and we just got told “I don’t know what to tell you. I ask and they keep yelling at me.” I saw 5 bread baskets come out to other tables that got here after us! Secondly, my brother in law ordered a shrimp and clam pasta dish, when his dish came out there was no clams! He asked where the clams were and we got the answer, “we ran out of clams so they put in extra shrimp.” There was 4 shrimp in the whole dish… To pay $30-40 a dish, I expected more from this restaurant.

The food was mediocre overall, lacking anything remarkable. I ordered shrimp as a side for my entree, but they were overcooked and hardly grilled. The green beans were also quite undercooked. Given the price, I can't say I was impressed.
