There's nothing quite like eating comfort food on a breezy day, overlooking the ocean. It was a perfect moment. We weren't planning on ordering dessert but fell victim to the brownie. It was delicious. Recommend both dishes. The server was an absolute doll as well. She had great energy and a very colourful personality. Great experience overall! :
Had dinner here on a busy weekend. Service was reasonably quick for a busy Saturday (they were about 3/4 full). I had the salmon burger fries. The burger tasted great the fries were just okay. The Kilkenny could've been colder. This was my first time in the place since it used to be Jimmy Flynn's and I was surprised that there had been very little cosmetic upgrading of the premises. The only real negative was that we found the round bar stools were so uncomfortable that we moved to a table. I love the location and live locally so will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Worth a try for sure.
Went here last night with friends on a busy holiday weekend. Had to wait a little bit for our food BUT so worth the wait!! We started with the bruschetta, it was excellent. Main courses were pasta dishes and beef dip...delicious! And the staff is amazing...friendly and attentive. This place is worth checking out!
We both had the fish and chips that came with a side of coleslaw and homemade tartar sauce. The food was good however the service was totally lacking. When we entered around 6:30 p.m. there were 4 people/staff sitting around as the place was empty. By the time we left there were roughly 10 people inside and out on the patio. Long story short; our server didn't come around once after serving our meal to see how we were doing or if I wanted another drink (which I did). That's pretty standard server etiquette. She came around when we were done however to see if we wanted the bill (which we did). Will not be returning because of the service. 3 stars only because the fish and tartar sauce was good.
Every town needs an Irish bar to hear live music and sing along. The staff was attentive and sweet but awkward. An okay selection of whiskeys. Sit outside, relax with a scotch, watch the sunset, and breathe the ocean air.
