Grandma's Kitchen - Whitefield

Every time we visited Grandma's, it was a wonderful experience. We had been going there for years, and we've always loved it. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to go for a couple of years because of our son’s dementia, and we really miss that place in our lives. We love you all!

I was truly shocked to read a harsh review that even involved the police. My parents have owned a camp in Pittsburg for 40 years, and my husband and I have enjoyed breakfasts and lunches in Whitefield over 50 times! The negative review must have come from unpleasant people to begin with. I can confidently say that no one in my family has ever had a bad experience at this restaurant—never. The service may not be the fastest, but it’s always friendly, and the food has consistently been excellent. The North Country has a relaxed vibe, and I believe it’s a place meant for unwinding. So take a moment to relax, order a hot chocolate or coffee, and enjoy some conversation. A little politeness and a smile might just make the world treat you better!

Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever experienced! If I could give this place a ZERO star rating, I absolutely would. It all started with our waitress who “forgot” to bring some of the food we ordered and completely neglected our table—no water or coffee refills, and the service was incredibly slow. However, this was minor compared to the OWNER of the restaurant, who approached me and said that she had “put me on a timer” and that I “had to leave” simply because my boyfriend forgot to put on his mask while walking from our table to the bathroom!

While the service may not be the fastest, it is always friendly, and the food has consistently been excellent. The northern atmosphere can feel a bit laid-back, which I appreciate. Isn’t that what you’re there for? To relax? Take a deep breath, order a hot chocolate or coffee, and enjoy some conversation. Being polite, smiling, and being pleasant can go a long way. Perhaps then you’ll find that the world will treat you better in return!

While the service can be a bit slow, it’s always friendly, and the food has consistently been excellent. I find that the northern vibe encourages a more relaxed pace. Isn’t that why you’re here? Just take a deep breath, order a hot chocolate or coffee, and take a moment to unwind and chat. If you approach others with politeness and a smile, you might find that the world responds in kind!
