Catfish Haven - Whitesboro

The food is excellent, as always. I preferred the grilled Cajun over the fried fish, though the fried fish was still enjoyable. The cucumbers in vinegar reminded me exactly of what my grandma used to make. The pies are consistently delicious as well, with a fantastic selection to choose from.

I've been dining at this restaurant since I was a child, and the catfish is fantastic! However, the pies are truly something special – they are unbelievably delicious! There is always a variety to choose from. One of my all-time favorites is the pecan cream cheese pie. On my most recent visit, I decided to try two new flavors: pineapple coconut and peanut butter chocolate chip pecan. Both were absolutely amazing! They really knocked it out of the park once again. It's definitely worth the drive to this place!

I gave this restaurant one star solely because our waitress was friendly. Unfortunately, this was the worst catfish restaurant I have ever visited. The food was lukewarm when it arrived, and nothing tasted fresh. I ordered sides of ranch dressing, but it came out with the same consistency and smell as mayonnaise. The flavor was completely off and did not taste like ranch at all. When I asked the waitress if she was certain it was ranch, she confirmed it and mentioned that she had to scrape it from the bottom of the barrel, which raised concerns about its freshness. Additionally, I noticed the cooks repeatedly microwaving items in the kitchen. I had hoped for some fresh fried seafood, but I was very disappointed. I won't be returning.

First ate here about 35 or so years ago, it was just a small little Shack the fryers would come on and the whole front window would Shake .The that ran the place wore of beehive hair hairdo and the catfish was superb she even had chocolate pie. af wereally enjoyed the place ...then it burnt down and they built this place.The food was great wish I had time we had to take it togo but it was good

For a Sunday afternoon, not crowded. We both ordered catfish and shrimp combos. My sides were a garden salad and broccoli cheese casserole. My husbands sides were pinto beans and fries. We ordered a side of hush puppies because the menu did not state theycame with the meal and the waitress did not mention it. The salad was not fresh, from a bag with 2 sliced tomatoes and way toomany croutons. Salad dressing was not a quality blue cheese.Tasted like wishbone.Lettuce was brown in spots and had a blackpiece as well. Hush puppies came out burnt and doughy inside. Oil obviously not the right temp.Flavor was strange with chunks ofcorn and carrot in the dough. No ketchup offered with hushpuppy side either. No seasoning on anything. Fish was not locallysourced, obviously frozen and the shrimp were not fresh either. Fries were cut with skins on and not doubled fried forcrispness. Pinto beans from a can. Broccoli casserole had a huge glob of cheese on top and only broccoli in it was astalk. Basically, everything we ate came from Sam?s Club. I recognize the pre battered frozen shrimp and catfish chunks- notfillets. Husband was not asked if he wanted more tea even once. I can not recommend this restaurant. Beware!! We watched thecook , wearing gloves go from the register to handling food and back again. The lady plating food never wore gloves at all andthe cook checked the temp on food in a basket above the grease with his gloved hand. Never saw a thermometer. We have an air bnbgoing up in Gordonville and was really hoping to recommend a local restaurant. This is not it! The guy megastar casino servesbetter food.
