My father and grandmother who lived in Queens forever like to go to Il Nocello, which is also good, but we drove through Riviera and I liked the Vibe and none of us had been, so we decided to try. The food is on point, servers were great (attentive, but not at all try to hurry us), clientele is super covered, vibes are casual, but nice, and the host/owner was super welcome. My only suggestion would be tone the large window between kitchen and dining room to soften the white light from the kitchen. I like this function, but I personally can't stand white fluorescent lamps. Anyway, we had a great time and would go again.
This is a best kept neighborhood secret with the price fixed weekday lunch and early booking dinner specials. Comes with the choice of soup or salad, Entrees dessert, etc. Great service but can be noisy when full chats away. Easy meter parking in front of free parking on site just a short distance.
I don't usually leave a review after a first visit, but I wanted Riviera. Nice clean place, seating, excellent service. The portions on the regular menu are generous and the quality of seafood in my dish was exceptional! Shrimp Cocktail excellent as well as fantastic dessert menu. Our waiter was very helpful and nice. For the quality of food and portion size it is affordable. You also have a lunch special that is a good offer, although I decided for the regular menu and not at all sorry. In any case again and soon!
We've been here for years. We moved to FL about 5 years ago and every time we show up, Riviera is an absolute must. The filled artichokes (a special one) are fantastic. I can never get past Penne Vodka. My husband, on the other hand, ate quite a lot on the menu. Everything is extraordinary. Danny staff are just great. Riviera is one of the things we miss most.
Visited my cousin n(I from Virginia) , in Whitestone and yearned for Italian food. This is the most authentic Italian food I?ve had. We shared chicken piccata and a Caprese salad. They brought the chicken in 2 separate plates and didn?t miss a beat from there. I don?t think I could have finished it myself if it were one whole entree. The bread came out warm and the water was always tended too. The caprese salad could have more then just sliced tomato and mozzarella cheese., like maybe some basil and oil drizzled over it but it was still good The staff is very friendly and takes a lot of pride in their work and ristorante, very clean and welcoming.
