Bottle & Bird - WHYALLA NORRIE

I had high expectations since this restaurant was very popular among locals. However, my chicken gyro was disappointing - it was just roasted chicken on the grill with an overwhelming amount of salad that made it impossible to close the pita properly. The garlic sauce was also very stingy.

Today we decided to visit the restaurant for lunch. What a huge disappointment! I ordered a gyro, which was the most expensive one I've ever paid for. The lamb was precooked and reheated, very fatty and full of gristle. The salads were not fresh. Overall, the quality was very poor. We will not be returning!

I don't enjoy cooking on hot days, so I decided to try the menu at Bottle Bird in Whyalla. They offer a wide selection of dishes to suit everyone's tastes, although they may not be the most affordable option, the quality is consistent. During my last visit, I ordered the family chicken hot pack, which includes a whole chicken, chips, bread rolls, gravy, a 2-liter soft drink, and carrots. I asked to substitute the carrots for a pasta salad, but was charged an extra $1 for the swap. When my order arrived, it was missing the gravy and had been changed to a family chicken salad pack instead. Despite expressing my disappointment, the staff reluctantly gave me a small container of gravy as a gesture of goodwill. Overall, my experience was not ideal, and I may think twice before ordering from there again.

I'll never change if you're on a good thing, why would you? I always come to the westland when in whyalla, and always the curry huh with chips of b b. it is consistently delicious, and the service is always with a smile.

We ate here for dinner while staying at the Westlands Motel. The prices are reasonable for your average Take away shop and the food tasted good and fresh. Schnitzel Burger was about 10. Because this place is linked in with the Westland Hotel they allowed us...to eat the food in the front bar where we could enjoy a drink with our food.
