New Lemongrass used to be my go to for Vietnamese food when I wasnt up to cooking it myself. I was raised by my Vietnamese mama, so I know what Vietnamese food should taste like. And this couldnt be further from good, let alone even close to authentic. The lettuce is wilted, theres no pickled carrot or radish, their nouc cham has no flavor, their noodles are very undercooked, the pork I dont know WHAT that flavor is but its not good, the shrimp are NOT grilled, and their egg rolls arent worth mentioning. The only things that were actually good were the cucumbers and the crushed peanuts. Never making this mistake again. This is a VERY big insult to Vietnamese cooking.
The combination fried rice wasnt taste right. It taste sweet and hard. The sausage and chicken tasted dry and smell old. Not worth for the price.
Spring rolls were great; and my daughter really enjoyed the pho. My vermicelli noodles were meh, at best: the pork was dry, the noodles undercooked, and the dish overall had zero flavor. I threw most of it away. By far the most overcooked was my other daughters five spice chicken: it was so dry and over cooked that most of it went to the dog. It couldve passed for jerky. Only giving 3 stars because the other two dishes were pretty good.
Egg rolls were old and no sides for the pho. Never again! Nasty!
