Gene's Tasty Burger - Wichita Falls

I've been hearing a lot on the radio about James' Tasty Burgers, but after experiencing food poisoning there several years ago, I was hesitant to return. The only thing they seem to have changed is the decor—there's some fresh paint on the walls and a few Coca-Cola memorabilia pieces in a glass case. Unfortunately, the customer service was also lacking. When I saw the portion sizes of my food, I immediately asked for a refund and expressed that I didn't want it. The staff member argued with me and refused to issue a refund. I will not be returning to this restaurant, and I strongly advise others to think twice before spending their money here—you'll likely regret it when your order arrives. The prices are way too high for the portion sizes and quality of the food. You could enjoy a better meal at Applebee's for the same price. James' Tasty Burgers is not worth the visit, and I doubt they will be in business much longer. I wasn't the only dissatisfied customer; a woman behind me ordered two hamburgers and was charged $40 for them. When she requested a refund, they also refused her.

I had an amazing burger and some fantastic onion rings at this restaurant. The drinks had a hint of tap water flavor, but it wasn't too off-putting. It's located in a unique area of town, but don't let that deter you. The interior is somewhat small, and it seemed like the air conditioning was struggling during my visit. However, aside from that, the food was absolutely delicious.

The $18 burger comes with fries and a drink, and they certainly don't skimp on the ketchup!

Wonderful place! Gene used to come over and take care of my great grandmother and we loved eating at the burger shop and visiting.
