It’s a restaurant I’ve gone to many times by myself, with friends and with co-workers. It’s a review I’ve been meaning to write about for probably 3-4 years now. It’s a place I always highly recommend to people asking for something to eat at a spot they’ve never been to. It’s Hot Stone Korean Grill. Hot Stone Korean Grill is located at 3743 N. Rock Road, close to the southwest corner of the intersection. They serve predominantly Korean and Japanese food; have beer, sake and soju (which is a Korean liquor) on hand. Many of your staples like Bibimap, Teriyaki, and Bulgogi dishes are on the menu. You can view their menu on their Facebook page . Inside the place is pretty calming; the paint on the wall is a very soothing yellow that isn’t loud or obnoxious. I’m not an interior decorator and rarely notice things like what painting is on a wall, what décor is sitting on a shelf, or even when a girl gets a haircut, but for some reason the inside of the building struck a chord with me. Moving on…………. They have a great lunch menu that features many popular dishes in a Bento Box that comes with rice, tempura, vegetables, salad and cooked bean sprouts; all priced between $6.95-$10.95. Dave and I are always on the hunt for authentic Korean food. We try to find the best spot in each place we 've lived to get our Korean food fix. Dave got me started on this, since he was stationed in Korea before we met and has loved their delicious food ever since. I 'm not mad about it. ; If you live in Juneau, Alaska, the place to get the best Korean food is Twin Lakes Cafe , but if you live in Wichita, Kansas (or are in town , that place is Hot Stone Korean Grill . Dave found Hot Stone on our wedding day, it was right down the street from my Dad 's house (where he and the groomsmen were staying , they stopped in for lunch and some sake and we 've been visiting ever since. For an appetizer, we recommend the tempura vegetables...so much fried wonderfulness. For dinner, I recommend the tofu teriyaki and the salmon teriyaki, I pretty much always get the tofu, no matter how many times I say I 'm going to branch out when we go. Dave suggests the beef bulgogi. We love Hot Stone Korean Grill at all hours of the day, but we usually go during lunch hour so we can get the bento boxes. There 's always plenty leftover and it makes a great snack for later... Fine Korean Food. Their lunch box is a very good idea. You get an entree, spicy beef or bulgogi is my favorite, a small salad, tempura vegetables, bean sprouts, and rice. I don't get entirely full so i order some egg rolls. I would recommend this to someone just jumping into the world of Asian food out side of the Chinese American buffets.
