Saltgrass Steak House - Wichita

I waited 40 minutes for two lunch plates. The sirloin tips were so salty that they were inedible. I then ordered a chopped steak and waited another 30 minutes. Eventually, I decided to leave, and they still charged us for my husband's lunch plate! This is absolutely ridiculous!

My wife and I went on a Sunday around 5pm. It wasn't overly busy and the service was fast and consistent. The price is a little on the higher side $17-30 for most menu items but the portions were large enough to make up for it, everything was delicious and we will definitely be going again!

We dined here for the first time this evening (September 9, 2023) and had the chicken fried steak. It was incredibly tender and absolutely delicious. We experienced no wait, and our meals were served hot. The atmosphere was wonderful, and we really enjoyed our visit. Also, the carrot cake is phenomenal! As for parking, the lot was full, but we were able to find a spot.

After experiencing a lack of service at this restaurant, I find it to be overrated. I decided to sit at the bar to avoid a wait, but after placing my order, I didn’t hear from anyone again until it was time to pay. The two bartenders seemed more interested in chatting with the young patrons next to me than attending to other customers. Perhaps if I had been younger and dressed more casually, I would have received better attention. Overall, this felt like a more expensive version of Texas Roadhouse, offering the same quality of food but with noticeably poorer service. While the food at Saltgrass was decent, it was nothing special considering the prices. This was my first and last visit.

We had a great server on this visit. Very attentive, very knowledgeable about menu items, made great suggestions to our group. We were very pleased with our dinner selections. Will make a effort to come back to this restaurant when I come back to
