When we brought this to the attention of the managers, they refused to offer us a complimentary meal. Their solution was that we could leave without paying, but if we consumed any food, we would be charged the full amount. We ended up leaving, feeling very disappointed after having waited nearly two hours.
We called to make a reservation, as we usually do, but were informed that they no longer accept reservations. However, if we provided a phone number, they would call us when a table became available. An hour later, we received that call. The food was excellent, and our chef was fantastic.
The food was disappointing in flavor, especially considering the high prices for both sushi and hibachi. The portion sizes were also quite small. We waited about an hour to be seated, and it took a long time to receive our food once we ordered. On the positive side, the decor is nice, and the restaurant was well-maintained.
Did the hibachi side. Food was mediocre in taste at best. Very small quantities. Chef did not divide shared portions between people at the table. Show was lacking. Restaurant does not have the famous yum yum sauce which seemed odd. We were charged each plate for garlic fried rice at $4. No idea why that was on there as none of us requested it. Lobster was heavenly over cooked. The sherbet at the end was pleasant. Sushi was excellent. (Heavens door with avocado instead of cream cheese. Waitress was attentive and kind. Also, the chairs on hibachi side are very uncomfortable.
