Cafe Hummel - Wien

The "Hummel" in the 8th district is a place where locals like to meet and have a drink in the evening or a delicious meal at noon. Service is typical Viennese: not too attentive all the time but still quite charming. You can reach this place with tram lines 2, 5 and 33.

Very cozy place especially if you are sitting on the terrace. Beef tar tar is highly recommended. Service time is really long as it's written in other reviews.

Waited to sit, to get menus, then to get them in english and to be asked what we wanted (30 mins). Food is simple and good. Location is neat but a slightly overcrowded. 6.5/10

Food and Service is excellent. When I come to Vienna my Sister meets me there. She introduced me to this Café Hummel. Nice Atmosphere . I think easy access with the street car or U-Bahn (subway) .

A little way out of the centre but an excellent find when you get there. The food was first rate and quite good value. Be wary of where you sit as smoking seems to be allowed in some areas - go towards the back of the cafe for smoke free.
