Golden Fry - Wigan

My partner ordered a sharing platter with extra hoisin sauce. The food arrived cold and without any sauce. I wouldn't mind if we didn't live so close by.

I highly recommend this Chinese restaurant! The staff is friendly and the service is quick. We decided to dine in rather than choosing delivery. We ordered crispy beef in chili sauce, chicken in black pepper sauce, chips, and rice. The crispy beef in chili sauce was incredibly flavorful, with plenty of vegetables and crispy beef. The chili sauce it was served in was also very tasty. This dish was by far the best I have ever had from a Chinese restaurant.

I ordered a Singapore rice vermicelli last night and it was not good - tasteless and pale. I have been coming here for years and was very disappointed. I will definitely not be ordering this dish again.

Been tonight which was recommended by a friend and had a meal which was not badly priced and big portioned. Although food was reasonably priced was a little bland. The interior or the shop needed a little updating but was sufficient for the area. The lady serving wasn't chatty but was efficient. Although people make impressions on first visits I do feel that this place needs to be given a second chance. Let's hope its better next time.

Me and my partner are regulars here after never having a bad meal from here, on our doorstep too which makes it all the better. Excellent food always great value for money! Highly recommend the prawn toast, salt and pepper ribs and sweet and sour chicken never fails.
