Travellers Rest - Wigan

We came across this place quite unexpectedly and asked about eating and if the dog were allowed. . what we were informed that it was all good. dogs are allowed at the guide, in the bar area. the dame came and imagined, and I informed her that I am celiac and asked if it was okay for me to eat. the kitchen was informed and a few special items placed. the food was nice and tasty made perfect, only enough and not overcooked. my partner plate looked great and full before the vege arrived. (I had a medium) the personal is friendly and informatiw, also offered water for the puppy. the clientele were also friendly.

We were on this small camping and caravan club, CS side. we booked and paid online then telephoned so they knew we would arrive late this evening, directly from the portsmouth ferry. it's so bad that this camping site has such a potential, but... we have run down. we came from the ferry and how arranged, parked in pub parking, as the field was a little too wet. we went right into the pub to let them know that we had arrived and finish the holiday with a beautiful glass wein, just to say that the pub was not busy so that they close well! there were three of us ready to spend money. Friday night and close outside, it clearly says open until the morning I went to use the facilities. the front door was raised with a piece of wood. then the door was opened to the ladies and the room was absolutely ice cold. I wouldn't shower. no toilet paper. a dirty mop left, which he says on a statement to use. also a very unprofessional communication for customers to read. I have read other cripples and they seem to be a similar opinion. I just wish the owner would be deceived and improve their business instead of argue with the reviewer. this could be such a beautiful place, perfect for the ferry portsmouth.

Atmosphere and service well. main complaint was that too much menu was not available. many selections on the menu, but many are not available. no T-bones steak or apfelsoße for the black . desert baked birne and cheesecake not available. the disappointment. because it should be a special occasion. braised lamb contained some pieces of stringy meat and chips dark brown and soggy

Visited traveling rest with friends to celebrate my birthday and the end of my vacation. visited many paintings prior to the years with friends and family, but not for the last year or so. so we were excited to visit the place again. I have a table reserved for four and we have arrived that we were shown on our table. when ordering our drinks I noticed a great selection of different meals in the offer and that the roasted wine was to order our foods said the renter that although the board shows many different meal times, we really only make today. so my friends and I decided we would have bark and lamb. we haven't waited too long, just as well it was ice-cold they heating up, but it was still very cold). first they serve the two roast beef and said that they were lammed, which then my friend had weighed the mint sauce over everything! we exchanged our meal times and were very disappointed about the content. to be honest, the meat was really good, but the sweet and the bratkartoffeln were disgusting. Frozen spuds, frozen yorkshire pud and veg are not acceptable, especially when I found out that the brats were each. the dessert was in order, but could cook a little longer in the microwave and the custard was good, but not enough. I enjoy it, for a nice Sunday roast dinner some were fabulous, some not so good and prices vary from to but for I expect a good quality roast dinner. also the service was below my expectations. not even someone came to see if we were okay. I understand if they were busy, but the place was quite empty. I want to support our country publicity and I do. go to the woodmancote inn and see how they run there and the old house at home a havant. a different world for you. and at the end of the day cost kartoffeln not much and everyone loves fresh bratkartoffeln. we will not return. Too bad.

The staff was very friendly at this restaurant. I visited with a friend for Sunday lunch. The experience was okay, nothing outstanding, just okay. I have had better meals elsewhere, but compared to large chain restaurants, it was definitely not the worst.
