Amazing pizzas I've ever eaten! Good service not wait long I advise everyone to go around the area! Good price also for a tourist place!
We actually spent our New Year's Eve in this restaurant. We chose this place because it is the only one in Wildhaus that we were aware that it offers its normal à la carte menu along with a special 'Silvester' menu. The reason to be... my other half, of course being Swiss, has extremely limited taste and does not eat much other than chicken, potatoes, pasta and salad. In the end, my girl also chose the menu because they offered only a limited à la carte selection. Our menu consisted of 5 courses and an Amuse Bouche to start. Unfortunately, everything was only average. 85 francs for a 5-course menu is extremely reasonable in this overpriced country, but the food was reflected. Nothing stood except the Muse! The seafood course of sub-standard fish and scallops and the beef tartar had virtually no season. The Konsommé was Bland. They never asked us how our steak made for the main course and the meat itself was tasteless. Too many places in Switzerland do not hang their meat. An unaltered steak is bad quality, time. Basic errors. Along with the fact that they keep pushing us through the meal, the entire experience was disappointing. The food could look good, but it has average taste. Too much aromatized and not enough care to bring out the best in the taste of food ingredients themselves. Will we come back? Probably for a pizza, but not for much else.
We entered at 18:30 and were greeted by a nervous manager (in a tie). He asked us if we had reserved ourselves, and we said no. He then said that there was no room without offering other suggestions. My partner then asked if... each of the tables was available next to the bar and the fumoir (where we had died before) and he agreed and sat down. As a former hotelier, I found off-putting. How is it that a manager does not know the seating capacity of his restaurant? Maybe he wasn't interested in seating and couldn't finish with a full restaurant... Nevertheless, we sat down, ordered a tomato soup for starters, a pizza and a cordon bleu for net. The soup was not great and tasted as if it came out of a package. Probably not, but I suppose they used too much of the feared artificial aroma. The pizza was ok and the Cordon-Bleu was good, though a Ted was small. Service was a bit hit and miss, but I expect that in Switzerland. Everything in an uninteresting dinner. Am I back? Yes, because I already had better experiences here and there is a limited choice in the wild house, but I would suggest that the staff raises his socks, especially the manager. I don't care how full a restaurant is, quality should never be affected and hospitality is the name of the game.
Amazing Pizzas the best I ever eat! Good service no long waiting I advice every one around the area to go! Good price too for a touristic place!
