Coastal Blue Oceanside Grill

This place was incredible! Jim is hands down the best restaurant manager I've encountered in my 45 years of living. He was personable, knowledgeable, and just an all-around great guy. Although the kitchen was closed, we were really craving dessert, and without us even asking, he surprised us with a plate of warm, delicious lava cake that was the perfect ending to our evening. We will definitely be back! And don't miss the lobster burger—it's amazing!

This is a decent restaurant. The food was very good, and the location is excellent, but the interior could use some improvements. The waiting areas are a bit small, and the entrance feels somewhat crowded. I also recommend better cleaning practices during and after meals. Our table wasn't completely cleaned when we arrived, and it wasn't properly attended to between courses. Despite this, the ambiance was lovely, with beautiful ocean views. The sushi was outstanding and incredibly fresh!

The most amusing part was the shrimp appetizer: just four pieces of shrimp for $22, and they were overcooked! I'm not against paying for specialty rolls, but when a roll is just a variation of a rainbow roll with sweet chili sauce, it shouldn't cost $20. The drinks were decent, but overall, I would give this restaurant a value rating of 2.5 out of 5.

Menu was minimal which is sometimes always better so it's easy to choose. Enjoyed our service and food but hotel was undergoing some renovations so the view was not ideal.

This place is small but nice and clean. The staff was good. We loved the food. I usually only ever review something that is really good and worth 5 stars. The food here definitely was worth 5 stars. I had probably the best waffles I've ever had in mylife, Sugar Pearl Waffles. We also tried the breakfast quesadillas and blueberry pancakes, everything was delicious. The onlyreason I knocked a star off was because we are traveling with a child and they didn't seem to acknowledge her. It sounds odd butnot something we've ever experienced, which is why it stuck out. When we were all seated she wasn't given a menu,napkin/utensils and when we asked for water for all of us she wasn't give one either. She's not a baby, she's 6 but it's likeshe wasn't even there. No one was mean just a slightly odd few minutes requesting things for her. Again food was amazing, placewas nice and staff was good.
