El Rey Azteca Mexican - Wilkes-Barre

Check this out: El Rey Azteca is an excellent spot to enjoy a margarita and a few birria tacos. It's not easy to find a truly authentic Mexican restaurant in northeastern Pennsylvania, but this one excels in every aspect. The complimentary chips were warm and came with a small bowl of flavorful salsa. Since it’s taco Tuesday, I tried their special tacos along with a margarita, and both were delicious. The table seating area, bar, and restrooms were all very clean and recently updated. The staff welcomed me with smiles and provided great service throughout my visit. I highly recommend this place to everyone! Make sure to stop by for a taco and a drink when you get the chance. Take care, everyone!

We tried this place on a whim after seeing their Taco Tuesday special tacos taste great, have good portions. The Wednesday night burrito special is also really good. There js table side guacamole service if thats something you're into, there are plenty of drink specials, they all look really good. All of the wait staff have been great, very attentive even when the place is busy. I like that they type in the orders on card readers and bring them to the table when you're ready to pay for an easy check out.

Very good food. Next day we saw there was another charge and they took care of it very quickly! Very impressed!! Also… you gotta try a Strawberry Mango Margarita from here!

Delicious and authentic. Skip the chain restaurant and come here. Excellent margaritas also! This region needs more restaurants like this one.

Wow, the food is absolutely amazing!!! I’m never going to another Mexican restaurant in the area again, haha!
