Don's Seafood Steak House - Wilkesboro

Great fish camp. Food was spot on and our waitress took excellent care of us. We drove over an hour to get there and it was well worth it. We will be back. It never ceases to amaze me as to the poor quality of food this place has! I’ve lived here for over 10 years and have eaten here numerous times and every time I say I’ll never come back! 60 dollars for two people and can’t even eat 1/3 of it because it’s so greasy! The oysters are nothing but grease because they don’t have the temp of the oil high enough, the jumbo breaded shrimp are from a box and they claim it’s fresh seafood and flounder is ok. If you’re reading this review please take my advise don’t waste your money!

Serve before we were salatable again. that's fast, but would like to enjoy my salad without my eating there being cold. grease was old on the fish

By far the worst restaurant in the county. Clam strips were good. Everything else was completely inedible. Hush puppies were oily, the cocktail sauce was hard (literally hard the tarter sauce was just mayonnaise, crab texture was like a paste, flounder was barely cooked and almost cold, and the shrimp tasted bad. I can't believe this place is allowed to stay in business and even more shocked that people choose to eat here. Really terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and skip this place!
