Missing a bit of Asian food so we went there one time. We had the vegan nasi rames. Got hooked on the sambal, so good. Love the tofu sate
The waiter immediately asked if we were vegan when we asked about the different main dishes and when we said yes she brought a bunch of free vegan appetizers! The restaurant itself is actually pretty cute, but the food is cheaper if you order as takeout (which we saw many people doing while we were eating there). The food was great, and there was so much of it that we actually had to take half of it home as leftovers. We ended up eating here twice during our stay in Curaçao because we enjoyed it so much and we found that it was somewhat tough to find good vegan food in the island.
The nasi with mock chicken, tempeh, and tofu satay, served with bami, gado gado, and other Indonesian vegetables was exceptionally delicious. This is definitely one of the best Vegan meals you can have on Curaçao!
We visited Batik Asli because we heard they offer vegan options. We decided to try the vegan Nasi Rames, which included a variety of vegetables, pickles, different types of vegan meat, and the choice of rice or noodles. The food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed every bite. We also tried the homemade lemonade, which was fantastic. The owner, who is Dutch, was very friendly and funny. We were even served appetizers while waiting for our dishes, which were delicious. If you are vegan or vegetarian and looking for a great meal, don't hesitate to visit Batik Asli. It would be lovely to sit outside in the evening, but we came for lunch when it was too hot to dine outside.
