The Meadows Original Frozen Custard

The best frozen custard I've ever tasted! My favorite flavors are Nutella Swirl and Dirty Turtle, and they serve a truly generous portion of deliciousness!

I waited all month to try the flavor of the day, Almond Joy, and it was absolutely worth the wait!

The custard is quite good. The peanut butter flavor is much better than the chocolate. The chocolate only has a slight hint of flavor, and you can't really taste it very much at all.

I could go here again and again and again. I have stopped at one in PA before and think their Custard is creamy and top notch. I go to a place called Whits in central Ohio or Strickland's in NE Ohio and I might place their Custard above both. It also hit the spot on a busy day being at Busch Gardens which may be why it tasted so good. I had no regrets after walking 15000 steps in 90 degree heat so that helped. They also had a great Wednesday special of a one topping sundae for $4 which made it even better. I have been craving their chocolate with peanut butter sauce each evening since eating here.They have seats inside and outside. They have nice bathrooms as well. This shop is a definite stop after a hot day of walking around colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, or the water park.

We were in Williamsburg for a family vacay and scratch made ice cream is always on our foodie short list when we road trip. Alas, the area doesn't seem to have a top shelf place for homemade hard ice cream (our preference). But being from Rochester, NY, we do love our custard. So Meadows was a more than capable stand in for no hard ice cream.We had various sundaes on our first visit, which was a packed Sunday evening. Went with simpler custard flavors only on our second visit. The product is definitely terrific with a nice mix of flavors and fancier options if you wanted something bigger.Service was outstanding--as their team was really hustling on our first visit and still delivered everything to us with a big smile.
