This small restaurant is very homie to where I used to live and I am hoping to stop by again and try more of their menu. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We ordered two cheese steaks and a large pizza. While everything was technically edible, it was far from appetizing. The pizza looked unappealing and tasted worse than a mediocre frozen pizza. The sauce was reminiscent of a frozen pizza, the crust was too soft (almost seemed undercooked), and the cheese was melted oddly. I could only stomach one piece and refused to eat any more. The cheese steaks were equally unsatisfactory, with minimal meat filling the thick sub roll. My plain cheese steak was filled with fried onions despite my aversion to them, so that went straight in the trash. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. My boyfriend's cheese steak was ruined by an excessive amount of mayo, completely overpowering the sub. The fried onions on his steak were undercooked and crunchy. The entire meal was nothing but a disappointment. The restaurant itself appeared unclean and outdated, and my boyfriend was charged more than the initially quoted price without explanation when paying with his card. The receipt had barely legible print, leaving us clueless about the discrepancy in price. I would advise others to steer clear of this establishment. We ordered for convenience, but if I had the time, I would demand a refund for the poor quality food. It's not worth the money. We will never be returning. Additionally, my boyfriend fell ill hours after eating his portion of the food, experiencing multiple trips to the toilet throughout the night. We both noticed an unpleasant aftertaste from the pizza, prompting us to brush our teeth to get rid of the sour flavor. This experience has left us both feeling disgusted and I am relieved to have avoided falling ill myself.
If you're a fan of delicious traditional Lycoming County submarine sandwiches and the classic sub shop ambiance, then Riverside is the place for you. There are plenty of options to choose from and the service is top-notch. This is a great spot for a takeout dinner, with prices ranging from $1 to $10 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect 5 rating.
The subs and pizza at this restaurant are amazing. I highly recommend it. The food, service, and atmosphere all get top marks with a perfect score of 5.
I had the cheesesteak and my wife got the tuna melt.
