Southern Smoke - WILLIAMSTON

This restaurant may not catch your eye from the outside, but once you step in, it's truly fantastic! Everything—from the food to the service to the atmosphere—is excellent. We opted for the sampler platter and added a few extra items. I found all the meats to be superb. I have high expectations for brisket at BBQ restaurants, and I have to say, the brisket here was the least impressive compared to the other meats. While I usually don't have high hopes for pulled pork or smoked chicken, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them here. The ribs were also delightful, and I tend to set a high bar for them as well. The sides of okra and beans were tasty, too. I especially loved the roasted garlic appetizer—it was absolutely addictive! Last but not least, our server was incredibly friendly and attentive.

This is a lovely restaurant with a pleasant and quiet atmosphere—unlike other places, there's no loud music, just a nice ambient volume. The BBQ is delicious and has a great smoky flavor. The sides we tried, including the baked beans, hush puppies, and mac and cheese, were all fantastic. While the ribs were tasty, they might not be worth the price as they are a bit on the expensive side. I recommend trying the chicken next time. We also ordered the Brunswick stew, which was a quarter portion, and it was excellent—smoky, sweet, and with a hint of peppermint. The service here is outstanding as well. Just keep in mind that there's a 3% fee for using a credit card.

The pulled pork had a great flavor even without sauce, and the fried okra was nicely prepared. My wife thought the sweet potato crunch was delicious. However, the fries became hard after they cooled down a bit. Aside from that, everything was great. That's the only reason we’re giving it four stars. We’ll definitely be returning!

On the way to a game and stopped eating. Many got the bbq and loved him. I got the fried chicken salad. It was wonderful! The waitresses were sweet, funny and attentive! I love it!

Their Brunswick Stew is delicious. Their hash with rice is so good. I love the chicken and the pulled pork. There's so much flavor, and it's so smoky! Their BBQ sauce is great! The service is alway wonderful. Love this little hidden gem!
