Everyone was impressed with their meals, and the service was great even with noisy children. It was a wonderful discovery and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The best part was that we didn't have to go all the way into the city, and we even took home leftovers. Everyone left happy and we will definitely be returning. Plus, it was reasonably priced.
I ordered Sichuan beef at Kenny's Yum Cha and was disappointed to find it lacked any spice. It seemed like they may have given me the wrong dish, as it neither tasted like Sichuan beef nor was enjoyable. Additionally, the fried chicken ribs I ordered were extremely fatty, unlike any chicken ribs I have ever had before. Unfortunately, my experience ended with both dishes being thrown in the trash.
Went to Kenny's for the first time today. The food was all declicious. Wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Husband out back hand making all dumplings to order, wife was so pleased we loved the food, and happy to chat. Great size dishes, we ordered 2 yum cha dishes each to share, and we all left full as googs with satisfied smiles on our dials.
Kenny’s sign said they were open 11 am to 9 pm 7 days a week and so we were able to have a late lunch on a Monday when many other restaurants were closed. The facade and decor are at basic plastic takeaway level and it isn’t large but the service and food were excellent. It was great to have yum cha available beyond the usual lunch time limitations. We only required a quick light lunch so we didn’t select any of the main meals and only chose three options from the extensive yum cha menu: crispy pork dumplings, chive prawn dumplings and BBQ pork buns. It was easy to order as each entry was depicted in large pictures along the wall. There was a little wait while the items were cooked to order but the food arrived fresh and hot. I will definitely come back again next time I am in Williamstown.
I went to Williamstown the other day and noticed Kenny’s was open again, my friend and I (big fans) squealed with delight. This restaurant has been missed. Every time we use to order Chinese post Kennys closing the food was always given the Kennys rating only to fail time and time again. Welcome back and look forward to ordering your yummy food again.
