My sister I took a chance on this place out of the blue one day and (several years later) it is still one of my favorites. I love the chicken swarma plate the salad is always fresh and the chicken and rice are always delicious (and that garlic aoli...mmmmm). The owners are amazing they care about their customers and they do what they can to give back to the community. Very highly recommend.
I hate to have to write a bad review but this is the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had!! I had shawarma salad it tasted nasty the pickles on it was very old and had a very bad taste. The flafel were bad and had after taste to them. I paid 100$ and left the place hungry with my husband and kids!! Never going back.
I’ve went here for lunch multiple times. Tried salads, specifically platters and a couple of pita sandwiches. It always tastes fresh and the portions are large. My personal favorite so far specialty plate with Chicken Kebab and hummus. I think from all of the meat choices this place prepares chicken the best. I did try a mixed meat plate and lamb was very fatty while beef was kind of dry. So if you’ve never tried anything from their menu, I’d definitely recommend any dish with chicken.
I only write reviews for food that is either really good, or really bad. In this case, it was really bad. Me and my wife have been eating Mediterranean food for years. We've been to the vast majority of Mediterranean hot spots in the city, aside from this one. We were close by, and decided to try a new spot. The service: Friendly and fast. No complaints here. But we don't just go to these places for the service right? The food: We ordered two falafel wraps, grape leaves, and a chicken shawarma over rice. Pretty diverse meal. There's no way everything could be bad, right? Wrong. The rice in the grape leaves was very undercooked, (Hard), and were the most bitter leaves I've had yet. Thus could be a preference thing, but it wasn't for me. The chicken shawarma came with two sauces: a white sauce and a oil based sauce. The white sauce was clearly bad/expired and the oil based sauce was sour. As for the shawarma itself, it was underwhelming. Compared to any other spot in the city, it was a fraction of the serving and quality. The rice here, was overcooked. Now for the worst part, the falafel wraps. I ended up throwing my away. The pita was falling apart and crumbling from being too dry. The falafel was oversized and dry. I even tried to add greek dressing that I had in my fridge to save it, to no avail. The takeaway: If you're craving Mediterranean in WNY, skip this one. Try Venus down the street or Shawarma City.
First time here and it was very good. You can tell it’s all fresh ingredients. I had the shawarma special and while that was great I can’t stop thinking about the baklava I also ordered. That was one of the best things I’ve ever had. Great little place and I will definitely be back!
