I visited around 1 PM, and the place was fully packed, despite having opened just an hour earlier at noon! The food is genuinely delicious and well-prepared—without the excessive greasiness or saltiness often found in many Chinese restaurants. Everything was freshly made and portion sizes were generous. The prices are comparable to other Chinese restaurants on Long Island. The staff was attentive, efficiently taking orders, clearing tables, and bringing the check promptly. Overall, I'm thrilled about this restaurant and can’t wait to return to explore more items on the menu. Check out my photos of the dishes I tried today—though the little pancake isn’t shown because I was so hungry that I dug in before snapping a picture!
I have eaten here twice in the past two weeks and I must say the food was quite good. In the past, I have noticed some inconsistencies in quality, but I’m happy to report that this time it was much better. I look forward to returning soon, and I should also mention that their prices are still quite reasonable and have not been raised significantly.
Because of the covid restrictions we can no longer visit Little Dumplings in Queens. But, as the saying goes, everything that happens, it's for the best. Stopped by this little gem for lunch today. Have to say that both my husband and I are foodies. We ordered a tray of dumplings, scallion pancake and rice pan fried rice noodles with chicken. Our mistake, because we thought we were ordering crispy noodles with chicken. The dumplings are tasty, tender and simply delicious!!!! The sauce for the dumplings can use some ginger. It tasted like a plain soy sauce. Scallion pancake was the best I've ever tasted!! Light, crispy, delicate, not greasy at all!!! Then there is noodles. We expected something like fried noodles, but this was different. More ...like the low main...but more delicate and tastier. We will be back!!!
If you're a fan of Chinese cuisine that leans towards the salty side, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The food is quite authentic, and the dishes I've tried are absolutely delicious. One of the highlights here is that if you spend just over $11, you get free soup dumplings, which is a fantastic deal! I particularly enjoyed the braided pig with preserved vegetables—it was flavorful and cooked to perfection compared to other Chinese restaurants I've visited. The $1.50 extra charge for brown rice is standard and highly recommended to complement some of the saltier dishes they offer. This place is ideal if you're looking for a sodium boost, especially after a workout, as you'll definitely be thirsty for the next few hours and will need to hydrate. Enjoy!
Great place that is authentic Chinese food that you normally need to travel to Queen to get. Prices are reasonable and prices are large. The free soup dumplings as an appetizer were excellent.
