I have not been here since 2018 and it looks like the load has a lot more choice, take home houses like frozen lobster ravioli and updated employees. I can't expect to order the subs and the auberginenparm the next time, now that we are still a group of new yorkers who live here. when I searched the house for a limoncello aperitif, there was only 1/2 a tiramisu when I opened my refrigerator! hubby said it was delicious, light mascarpone and yummy. for a small Italian subshop and deli in bland wilmington, nc, this place is very, very, welcoming. we will be back and the new yorkers related who are to be visited in juli will come to me.
This place is really good. every time I get out of fl to visit my parents in wilmington, we always stop. the sandwiches are huge and cheap.
The Italian combo wedge had blown over with its homemade Italian dressing today, it was amazing. can not wait to try more from their menu points!
Did not want to come the arrogant new yorker....but I know that this is not italy, or nyc or brooklyn and I appreciate the Italian effort....and that is really the only place that has a crumb of Italian taste in the opposite. but cardinal sins are everywhere in the square. that cannot be real Italians who own it. no brot from the tip. ok, I understand it, it's not ny. no spekk (incense prosciutto), no problem, it's a less known article. but the clip of each Italian deli should be the fresh mozzarella! it should be warm! it should be a large tablet on top of the counter at room temperature if not warm! if they take it out of the plastic wrap, a milky liquid should spill over all. it should have a hauch saltiness. it should melt in the mouth. they gave me an almost frozen ball, cheese? I waited an hour to live at room temperature. no chance. it was in the grunde polly o, a cheap super market imitation mozzarella. a rubber ball without taste, no saw, no juice. it is as if they have a juicy ripe tomaten from the garden and it is perfect with a dash salt, in contrast to a tomato that sits in the refrigerator and becomes tight and tasteless. that was the last. don't get the mozzarella cold! a taste of italics? hands the mozzarella in italy and they hang you on the public square. I gave three stars to not crush them, because they may have just digged down on the local crowd. call it. a taste of wilmington.
Had not been in years, and it did not disappoint! Just as good as it has ever been. Employees are so friendly and efficient. Food is absolutely amazing!
