Jackson's Big Oak Barbecue - Wilmington

I visited for the first time today and ordered a BBQ plate with fries and collard greens. I have to say, it was an amazing meal! I mentioned to them that if the food was good, I'd come back for a hat as well. So the next time I’m there, I’ll be getting more of that delicious BBQ and a new hat!

This restaurant offers some of the best barbecue in town, with excellent service and fantastic steak fries. However, what truly stands out is their fried chicken—it’s among the best I’ve ever had!

The restaurant experience was decent, so I’m giving it 3 stars. The vegetables and hush puppies were very good, but the chicken and fish were a bit dry, which is why I felt it deserved only 3 stars.

First time at Jackson’s and certainly will not be our last! The food was so good, 100% reccomend the fried chicken. The service was awesome and the ambiance was so cozy! Cannot wait to come back for another meal!

I had the fish dinner it was extremely outstanding, delicious to my taste. Great fantastic job. Clean, spotless, outstanding sweet tea just relaxing in my mouth .. keep up the great work I will return very soon. Bishop Jordan
