Kalbi Asian Bistro - Wilmington

Great experience! My daughter and I went there for lunch today. From the moment we opened the door, the aroma told us we were in good company. We haven’t been to a lot of Korean restaurants, but the staff here were super friendly, and helpful. This is a small restaurant, but the tables and decor were arranged in a way to accommodate a fair amount of seating with plenty of space between tables. The service was excellent, I didn’t even have to ask for a refill. The food was amazing! I had the dolsot bugolgi, the rice was crisp on the bottom, and the kimchi was phenomenal. My daughter had the tteokbokki, this was quite a pleasant new dish for us. Their fried chicken appetizer was very good too, the flavor was amazing the breading was crunchy, and the meat was like butter coming off of the bones. We absolutely will be coming back!

Love this place. One of my top 5 places to eat. Such great flavor. Bulgogi is tender and melts in your mouth. It's worth trying, it has never been a disappointment. The kids bento boxes are excellent choices at a great price.

The Chicken Kanpoonki is ridiculously good! Slightly spicy, crispy delicious chicken. It’s so good it makes you eat the side of white rice solo and love it. Will keep coming back for trays of their amazing chicken.

This restaurant is amazing! We had to drive an hour just to get Korean food, but it was totally worth it. We ended up ordering way more food than we needed. Combo 1 was perfect for two people. The pork belly was so tender, the kalbi marinade was sweet and tasty, and the brisket had a great flavor. We also ordered the kimchi pancake, which had fantastic flavor, and the original rice cake dish was pleasantly spicy. The service was fast and the staff was friendly and attentive. It was definitely worth the money and the drive, and we will definitely be returning.
