Locale Bbq Post - Wilmington

When asked about the best BBQ in Delaware, I used to say "my backyard." I might need to reconsider that. The brisket, which is notoriously difficult to get just right, was absolutely perfect—tender and moist. The sauce was fantastic as well. The cornbread was solid too. I highly recommend giving this place a try; it's definitely worth it!

Starting with the pork barbecue, it was absolutely delicious—smoky and juicy! The ribs were exceptional, so tender that they just fell off the bone. But my absolute favorite was the brisket. Oh, that brisket! The flavor was incredible, with pronounced smoky undertones, and it was incredibly moist—falling apart just like a perfect roast, but packed with even more flavor! As a Southerner who loves North Carolina BBQ (particularly the vinegar-based sauce from the western NC mountains), I was pleasantly surprised by Locale's sauce. It's tomato-based with hints of orange, and it has a delightful aftertaste that truly enhances the pulled pork! This was just our first visit, and I can't wait to come back and try the chicken and bratwurst next time. Oh, and did I mention the coleslaw?

The food was fantastic! I picked up lunch for the team, and the pulled pork was perfectly sauced while the chicken was delicious. The side dishes paired well with the main meal. I definitely plan to return to try more items from the menu. The ordering process flows smoothly, starting with selecting your meal, then sides, and finally reaching the register. It was well-organized. Even though the place was crowded, the wait was worth it, just like everyone else who was in line with me.

Locale BBQ Post did an outstanding job catering for my Dad’s birthday party this past weekend. Everyone LOVED the food, and there was plenty left over, despite us refilling the containers repeatedly. All of the meats (brisket, pulled pork, and chicken) and sauces were fantastic (extra compliments were given for “The Sauce” and the bbq sauce) and the yams and baked beans were delicious. We also enjoyed the potato salad and pickles. I really appreciate the communication also, even when I increased the amount of food being ordered within the week of the party.

The Locale BBQ is a great place to go get some good BBQ Food and The people are very friendly and place is very clean and it's is easy to get to get great food. Everything I tried is good and I recommend everybody to go there.
