Mamma Lucia - Wilmington

I dined here on Christmas Eve during the holiday season, and even though there was only one server, I have no complaints. The food was incredible! The portions were huge, so make sure you arrive hungry. The decor was a bit quirky, but you can't overlook how well the food is prepared and how delicious the marinara sauce was. I really wish this place were closer to home. Great job!

We had a family dinner and started with the fried calamari, which were crispy and delicious. For the main course, we ordered the Pollenlimone, Ravioli Trio, and spaghetti Bolognese. The Pollenlimone and ravioli were outstanding, but unfortunately, the spaghetti Bolognese was a bit bland and left us somewhat disappointed. On a positive note, the service was fantastic. To finish off the meal, we indulged in desserts: almond cake, tiramisu, and limoncello, all of which were excellent!

Our waitress was attentive and friendly, always checking to see if we needed anything. The owner personally came out to deliver a record, which was a nice touch. We had a delightful dinner, made even more special by a complimentary gift. The portions were substantial and delicious. The prices are reasonable considering the quality, especially in light of the current inflation.

Always look forward to eating here in town. Genuine Italian cuisine ready to order from an Italian cook. Do not expect a high-end designer interior. They did what they could with an old building and a shoe-running start-up budget. It has its own charm. It is clean and comfortable. Remember to order your meal will be freshly prepared, so don't go if you hurry to a show. Relax and enjoy a glass of wine while your meal is freshly prepared.

My experience here was truly lovely. The food was absolutely amazing, i got the spinach ravioli and I must say I definitely need to come back and try the other dishes on my next vacation to Wilmington. I ordered some canolis which were veryyy delicious. My friends were all satisfied with their food as well everyone pretty much finished their whole plate. My mom also told the waitress it was my birthday so they gave me a little something to take home with me ; I do recommend making a reservation prior to your visit. The owner is a very kind woman who made my vacation even more special. The experience was very heart-warming and overall wonderful.
