On Saturday and Sunday nights, the caf actually closes and this forces the students to eat at the bistro upstairs which gives you less food and leaves me feeling ill every time I eat there. Many comment cards have been written, and it seems as if very little has been done to fix the problem. I have spent all of my money on outside sources of food, when I'm already paying for a poor excuse at a buffet. The student staff works hard, it's just the quality of food that's the problem.
The food here is surprisingly good for a cafeteria! There are numerous options available, and everything is clearly labeled, making it easy to steer clear of certain food categories if you have specific dietary requirements. There are also several stations where you can customize your own meal. Plenty of seating is available, and I believe outdoor seating will be added soon!
I spent four years eating at this restaurant, and while it wasn't always great, it wasn't terrible either. There were times when it upset my stomach, but now that I no longer live there, I sometimes find myself missing it. The pasta bar was consistently good, and the stir fry bar was also a reliable choice. For some reason, the mac and cheese stood out as really delicious!
I had a fantastic lunch experience today while visiting from out of state. I found an abundance of fresh vegetables, a delightful salad, and delicious rotisserie chicken!
Delicious food at an excellent price! The salad bar offered fresh Spring Mix, Romaine Lettuce, and a variety of toppings. In addition to the standard entrees, there was an Italian section, ice cream, and beverages included as well.
