The landlady was so welcoming and the food freshly cooked and delicious. We returned a couple of days later for a family meal for my husbands 60th birthday, we had the cosy back nook with a lovely big table for us all. Nothing was too much trouble, the food and service were excellent.
Visited the pub for lunch with friends, they were on their way to Centre Parks in Longleat. Provided a fantastic place to meet. Food was delicious, service was fantastic. We were not rushed either, which was great. Good value food for such lovely food. Handled my allergies well too, which can be a struggle in other places. Thank you so much
Popped in for a quick drink heading back from Bath to Salisbury. Stayed much longer. This pub is a gem and one I have frequented on off since the 80s. The Moonraker beer is superb and very well priced. I would describe it as a session beer, lovely head, great taste and inexpensive. Wish they sold it in Salisbury but alas brewed at the premises. Well done.
The whole family met at the pub as it is a central point and my in laws are local and have eaten here before. The staff were amazingly helpful the party had a lot of allergies and the kitchen were able to accommodate everybody. The menu is extensive and the food was superb excellent value for money. My husband and I will definitely be back!
Lovely quaint village pub in a beautiful rural setting. Nice atmosphere and amazing food just what we needed on a very wet and windy evening. The log fire was going the staff were friendly and was made to feel welcome. A real country English pub very rare to find. Worth a visit
