We thought we would look in on the flemish weaver to see how things were going. We both had a nice drink and decided to look at the menu. Thankfully they offer smaller meals as well as large. We opted for two smaller. Fish chips...and peas and two sausage mash and onion gravy. Both were very acceptable. Another customer had a ham hock terrine with toast and chutney which looked extremely nice and a very good portion. They have only been open under new management for 10 days. The staff were very helpful and I hope they do well. Please support them as its not an easy time to take on a new establishment. I'm sure my next review will be a 4/5 star and not a 3 star.
Little room to spread out, cramped in small space. Food average. Friendly waitress. Nothing more to add-we were unimpressed
Pleasant Sunday lunch.Decent used portions and tasty meat and Yorkshire puddings. Vegetables were not bad but could be presented rathe more finesse and perhaps a slightly wider range of options. Friendly pub with good selection of real ales and not a bad choice if you...are in the area.
I was taken aback when the girl serving me asked for £5.25 for a pint of lager. I know inflation has risen and times are tough but £5.25 a pint is a joke for a pub in a very small town high street. I liked...the quirky interior and the ales on offer were varied, but I won’t be coming back.
