We just spent a week in a cabin in Erlestoke and were lucky to have this pub as our local representative. The interior is beautiful and very cozy. The owner and his wife were really lovely and made us feel very welcome, and nothing was too much for them. We had two meals there and many drinks! The menu was great and all the meals were cooked fresh and delicious. On our first visit, they brought out dog biscuits and befriended our dog, chatting with us. The second time we ate there, we asked about children's meals and they were happy to cook something they wanted or from the menu in a smaller size. We really wish this pub was our local! I highly recommend it and would love to come back.
We stayed at the George and Dragon (see hotel review) for a weekend and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and a bit different from the usual pub grub. On the first night, my friend chose the fries. The fries were thick and slightly heavy, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Surprisingly, my friend couldn't get enough of it as the plate was full before the arrival of red cabbage and broccoli. Since I had a bit of a toothache, I chose the steak and mushroom pie with sautéed new potatoes. Once again, the food was impeccable and the service fast and friendly. We didn't try the Sunday roast, but based on the comments we heard, it also seems excellent.
I recently had one of the best Sunday lunches at this restaurant. My family group of 12 visited and everyone was impressed with the excellent service and delicious food.
No hay nada que indique que en línea pero después de haber intentado teléfono y conseguir ninguna respuesta, fuimos allí como representante de donde estábamos alojados. No había cerrado señal, pero todo estaba cerrado y una para la venta cartel en la pared de al lado.
