My main course, Linguine with wild mushrooms, aged Parmesan and Wiltshire truffle, was truly outstanding absolutely bursting with flavour! My wife had the smoked salmon as a starter and cod mourney as her main course. She found it to be as enjoyable as my meal. The Chef is to be congratulated on cooking skills. The servers were efficient and friendly. A most enjoyable experience.
Eventually, we were seated in the restaurant by a friendly waitress with black hair who despite being busy, still managed to greet us warmly. The service was a bit slow, perhaps due to understaffing, but the food made up for it. Our meals of Steak Frites and Fish and Chips, along with desserts, were delicious. As the restaurant quieted down, we settled our bill and left, only to notice that the manager was still in the same spot at the bar. Hopefully, he can provide more support to his staff in the future. Overall, The Bell offers fantastic food and good service, and I would definitely return for another meal.
Great staff, bar attender made cocktails to order and the food was delightfull, very friendly and welcoming .
My party and I tried out this restaurant for Sunday lunch the other week and we were seated in the dining area. The roast beef (£22) and roast lamb (£20) were both tasty, along with the roasted vegetables and gravy. The portion sizes were decent, though not overly large. The desserts were also delicious, particularly the lemon posset. We would definitely come back if we were in the neighborhood again.
Visited for Sunday lunch, which was OK, but nothing special. Some members of staff need to work on their people skills, others were very pleasant. For the money they charge per plate, there are nicer and better value places to visit for Sunday lunch in the area. I don't think we will be returning anytime soon.
