We adore Carolines’s homemade sausages rolls and quiches and can highly recommend the coronation chicken and Reuben baguettes. Woody’s is perfect if it’s an Ottolenghi style salad you want, the ingredients are so fresh, there’s a real gastro taste to every salad. Best coffee in Corsham and once again Caroline’s homemade cakes are the ultimate treat, especially the Bakewell slice and carrot cake. The selection of cheese, antipasti and freshly baked bread is fab for lazy weekend lunches at home. It’s wonderful to see Woody’s thriving, we are very spoilt to have this quality deli in Corsham!
We were going to a BYO Banquet on Saturday and realised Friday afternoon that we'd done nothing apart from chilling a bottle of wine (essential prerequisite). Someone mentioned that Woody's, who have recently taken over a long-established deli, did picnic boxes, so we phoned them just as they were closing for the night. They could not have been more helpful; we went through a number of menu options, potential allergies, appetite (hungry bears), brown or white etc etc.. before coming up with our finely tuned selection. We picked up the picnic the next day at 3pm, filling two paper carrier bags with baguettes, quiche, salad boxes, cakes, strawberries and wooden knives, spoons, forks. We had a lovely evening with gorgeous food (we had to take some home there was so much) and would heartily recommend these guys to anyone who wants to turnkey a picnic buffet with carefully chosen food and drink.
Am writing this review for Woody's Deli, visited Corsham as part of a coach trip, and wanted somewhere for a light bite to eat, coffee, cake, and was surprised that there were so few places in this town centre, and what there were, many were closed. Came across this little place, first and foremost it is a deli shop in very small premises, so can be forgiven that there were only three very small tables inside, and a couple outside. The young man and lady serving were very friendly, informative, and eager to please; ordered ham baguettes and latte, the baguettes were the best I've ever had in an eating place (they were happy to do totally plain as I do not like the salad and trimmings they came with on the menu), lovely crusty bread and plenty of good quality ham. The lattes tasted lovely, and were HOT- a rarity in coffee houses lately! Ordered cakes to take away, a Bakewell Slice and a Brownie, they were the best I've had in ages. Prices were reasonable for the area too. Well done to Woody's for being the highlight of the visit to this town!
We frequently visit Corsham, but had not tried Woody's Deli until now. We stopped in for tea and cake in the mid afternoon, both of which were excellent. The savory options on display looked enticing, so we may have to come back for lunch next time.
This restaurant is a hidden treasure. The coffee is excellent, the cheeses are delicious, and they offer unique and tasty treats. The service is outstanding. I will definitely return.
